About Myself
I am a licensed clinical social worker with a doctorate and a master’s degree in social work and over 20 years of practice experience. My passion is to empower others to achieve their fullest potential, that is to guide clients work through their current challenges and help them to move beyond — so they walk away stronger, wiser, and feeling good about their ability to shape their future.

I have specialized expertise in counseling clients who have experienced trauma. This includes birth, foster, adoptive, and blended families. I have knowledge in trauma work, parent-child attachment, parent-child conflict, sibling conflict, peer-social skill difficulties, aggression, depression, anxiety, grief, loss, adoption specific issues and sensory processing difficulties.

I believe that excellence in practice includes staying at the cutting edge of the knowledge and skills in your field. Therefore I strive to stay current with the latest research and evidenced-based best practices. I draw from a range of treatments such as trauma-informed practice, cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused, play-based therapy, and the circle of security. I was trained at the Karen Purvis Child Development Institute as a Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) practitioner.
